✅ 田野參訪與交通安排
為貼近移民與移工生活，本課程將安排至少四次田野參訪，地點包括台北市中心、新北市鶯歌與桃園中壢。
- 我們將搭乘公車、捷運、火車，有時需與同學共乘計程車。
- 無法補助交通費，若有經濟困難，請於表單中說明，教師將盡力協助。
⚠️ 注意時間安排
- 建議保留足夠通勤時間，避免課程衝突。
- 至少一次參訪安排在星期日
- 小組討論也可能在課餘時間進行，請預先思考學期的時間分配與生活節奏。

✅ Who Are We Looking For?
This course is designed for students who are genuinely interested in migration and labor issues and eager to co-create with others. We value intrinsic motivation. In the form, please share:

✅ Recommended Prerequisites (you only need one of the following):
Please explain in the form if you've taken any of the following courses or have relevant experience:
Migration-related courses:
- Migration and Globalization; Migration 101; Migrant/Worker Rights and Multiculturalism; Migration and Development; Multiculturalism and Migration Politics; Globalization and International Migration
Social science foundations:
- Anthropology, Ethnology, Human Geography, Sociology
Methodology courses:
- Qualitative Research, Fieldwork Methods, Research Methods, Design Thinking
Social practice:
- Internship or volunteer experience related to migrants or migrant workers
✅ Assessment and Teamwork
Your grade will be based on:
- Self-evaluation; Feedback from the instructor and TAs; Peer evaluation
In the form, please describe:
- A memorable team project you’ve worked on
- What strengths or qualities did you discover in yourself during that process?
✅ Language and Communication
The primary language of instruction is English, with supplementary instruction in Mandarin. Students who can communicate in Indonesian or Filipino are especially welcome to join.
Fluency in Mandarin or English is not required, but you must have an open attitude and patience to assist with translation and group communication.
Please indicate your language and communication skills in the form.
✅ Field Visits and Transportation
To engage closely with migrant life in Taiwan, the course includes at least four field visits to locations such as downtown Taipei City, Yingge (New Taipei), and Zhongli (Taoyuan).
- We will travel via bus, MRT, and train. Taxi fare may be split among students if needed.
- Transportation costs are not reimbursed. If this poses a financial burden, please let us know in the form, and we will do our best to assist you.
⚠️ Time Management Reminder
- Please ensure you leave enough time for travel when planning your schedule.
- At least one field visit will be held on a Sunday
- Group discussions may take place outside class hours
