Requirement/Grading

The assignments during this semester with the weights are as follows:

Class participation: 20%

Problem Sets: 20%

Midterm #1: 30%

Midterm #2: 30%

For the grading: Grading disputes may arise. With the exception of arithmetic errors, and in order to avoid problems associated with self-selection, disputes involving points scored on individual questions will NOT be considered. However, if you wish, the entire assignment will be regraded. This re-grading may result in either a higher or lower number of points being scored. Requests for re-grading must be submitted in writing to the instructor within one week of the assignment first being returned.

For the tests: Any request for absence for midterms must be submitted in writing before 9:00 am on the exam day, except for medical emergencies. You should also follow the official procedure, such as submitting the documentary proof of the hospital afterwards, according to the rules of the school.
