Requirement/Grading

Students’ performance in this class will be evaluated by the following criteria:

  1. Individual Assignments (60%): This is a continuous assessment course in the form of workshops where lecturing and training translates into hand-on and practical assignments. It is not possible to successfully complete this course without a high level of attendance. Marks will be allocated for individual writing exercises.

  2. Final Assignment (30%) Marks will be allocated for the final 1000 word Feature piece.

  3. For every 24 hours the final news show is submitted late, 5% will be docked from the final grade to a maximum of -20%.

Attendance and participation (10%): Students are expected to actively and critically participate in class, sharing ideas and interacting with instructors and other students. Obviously, any missed classes will result in zero marks for the possible continuous assessment marks for that session.
