This course will cover the following chapters:



Chapter 1: Introduction to Statistics



Chapter 2: Descriptive Statistics



Chapter 3: Elements of Probability



Chapter 4: Random Variable, Expectation, and Variance



Chapter 5: Some Special Distributions



Chapter 6: Descriptions of Sampling Statistics



Chapter 7: Estimation and Confidence Intervals



Chapter 8: One-Sample Tests of Hypothesis



 



NOTE: 



1. Having knowledge of high school mathematics (e.g., permutation, combination) is required. It would be better to have backgroud of Calculus.



2. Students are expected to workload 3 hours in-class as well as outside-of-class.



3. 2023 Dec. 21 and 2024 Jan. 4 are (temporarily) schedulted to have self-study for quiz and final exam.
