In-class Activities

Periodically throughout the semester, speaking/listening/reading exercises will be given in class. These exercises can NOT be made up.

Oral presentations

You will give an individual presentation and a group presentation during the semester. You will research and present your view on a given topic. The presentation should be 5 minutes for each student. More details will be provided in class.

Examinations

All materials, including the readings, handouts, and information provided in class will potentially be included on the final exam. The final exam includes a written test and a speaking test. The speaking test requires you to answer a number of questions, each question for 1~2 minutes. The instructor will evaluate your ability to respond to the questions appropriately and fluently. No make-up exams will be given unless you have received the instructor’s permission in advance.

Textbook & Reference

Handouts will be given in class.
