Requirement/Grading

1. 每上一齣新戲前有小考。



2. 學生將分組作戲劇文本的口頭報告。口頭報告以講義形式列印給教師評分。講義上應清楚標明報告大綱、課文引言、討論問題及參考書目出處。口頭報告時間為15分鐘,逾時扣分。



3. 期中考、期末卡包括選擇題、ID題、問答題。



4. 學生將分組作期中數位作業「誰來晚餐?」,繳交日期為期中考前一週。首先,學生應自開學至期中考間所授三齣戲中選一個角色,針對此角色寫一段英文自我介紹,不超過五句句子。學生應把此角色的自我介紹數位化,包括寫動畫及配音。資科助教將彙整所有角色檔案於一頁面,使他們一起享用晚餐。此部分亦為期中考的ID題。



5. 學生將分組作期末數位作業「小英小資戲劇遊」,簡稱EZ Journey。繳交日期為期末考前一週。學生首先自本學期所上的六齣戲中,選擇一齣戲的一個場景,來發展一個時空旅遊的劇本。一個學生扮演小英,一個學生演小資,兩個學生演所選劇中的人物。小英和小資很神奇地跑進了那齣戲的場景跟劇中的人物互動。學生應使用Scratch來寫程式或動畫呈現出這個創意劇本。此數位創意作業展演為學期最後一週。



6. 學期末時學生將分組演齣戲劇五分鐘。內容來自本學期所授劇本,以確保學生清楚了解劇場表演藝術。



7. 學生可以在學期內欣賞一齣現場表演並寫下觀劇心得。此為加分作業。



1. A quiz of two simple questions will be given to students every time before a new play is taught.



2. Students will be divided into groups to do oral presentations on plays covered in class. Copies of handouts including presentation outlines, quotes, questions, and references should be prepared for the instructor. The report should be 15 minutes long. Strict control of time should be observed.



3. Mid-term and final exams include choice questions, identification, and questions and answers.



4. Students will be divided into groups to do their mid-term digital project called “Who’s for Dinner?”, due one week before the mid-term exam week. They first choose a character from the three plays covered before the mid-term week and write a self-introduction of their character in English, no more than five sentences. Then they record the self-introduction and use Scratch to make an animation of their character’s self-introduction dubbed. A class TA will merge all the files and make them into an animated identification test for the mid-term exam.



5. Student will be divided into groups to do their final term digital project called “Eng and Zi’s Journey into the Drama World,” due one week before the final exam week. They first choose a scene from one of the six plays covered in their semester and write a time-travel script based on the play chosen. One student will be the character Eng, and one Zi. The other two students will be the two characters in the play chosen. Eng and Zi by magic enter the scene of the play and interact with the two characters.



6. At the end of the semester, students will perform parts of the plays in class for 5 minutes long to familiarize themselves with theatre performance.



7. Students are expected to go to a live stage performance so as to write a play critique on the strengths and shortcomings of the play. Extra credits and grades will be included in the final score of the course.
