Grading:



1. Class attendance and discussion: 20%



2. Oral presentation: 30%



3. Term paper (12-15 pages for doctoral students; 10-12 pages for MA students): 50%



 



Requirements



1. Attendance and participation in class discussion are essential.  Students who have four or more than four absences, excused or not, will fail this course.



2. Students are expected to finish the reading assignments before class and be prepared to answer simple questions about the text.



3. Students should bring a dictionary and a notebook to class.



4. No 3C products are allowed in class.



5. No extension will be given for presentations or papers unless negotiated a week before the deadlines.  Late exercises will not usually get full credits.



6. Students who plagiarize will fail this course.
