Speaker: Director, Xu,Jing-yun

Director of the Graduate Institute of Russian Studies,NCCU

Conference Overview The outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022 represents the most significant geopolitical tremor in 21st-century Europe, it marks the definitive collapse the post-Cold War vision of a "Greater Europe". The previous era of mutual economic dependence and energy resilience aimed at creating a common space "from Lisbon to Vladivostok" has been replaced by a "long-term confrontation" and a systematic "total decoupling". This shift has fundamentally reshaped global energy politics and forced a redefinition of European security and values. This conference seeks to bring together specialists in international relations, economics, law, and geostrategy to examine the long-term impacts of this conflict and envision the emerging order across Eurasia.
