oeso (miscanthus grass)
Born in the wind, standing at the margins.
Soft yet resilient, it sways while holding a quiet power of protection.
In the human world, miscanthus symbolizes warding off evil and offering shelter, reminding us that our relationship with nature must be built on restraint and respect.
Though miscanthus grows abundantly in the mountains, there are rules to its gathering—
take only what is needed, and no more.
This restraint is the deepest form of reverence for nature,
and an ethic of coexistence with the world.
Within this belief, the body becomes like miscanthus—
supple yet strong, able to bend and to stand.
It silently receives the breath of the wind and firmly responds to the passage of time.
Their movements are a form of prayer, a gesture of protection—
an extension of the earth, and the language of the wind.
When the wind passes, they bow like a blessing;
when light descends, they rise and dance into being.
This is a silent hymn of resilience, coexistence, and reverence—
belonging to both humanity and nature, to both heart and spirit.
Within this "garden," nothing is a static landscape; everything is a symbol of life in motion.
Between blooming and withering lie the breath of time and echoes of the soul.
Humans are like seeds, drifting in the wind, growing in the soil,
seeking form and light at the boundary between dreams and reality.
Art becomes a garden because it allows us to encounter the world anew.
It is both a ritual of dialogue with nature and a journey into the inner universe— when the body becomes a moving brushstroke, when memory turns into the breath of color,
we cultivate through creation, blossom through reflection, and bear fruit in silence.
True Utopia exists in the moment when we are able to feel, to realize, and to choose to protect life.
