【活動介紹 / Workshop introduction】

EMI不只是用英語授課，更是推動高教國際化與教學創新的契機。本工作坊邀請 Oxford EMI 顧問團隊成員 Dr. Ikuya Aizawa 分享推動 EMI 教學的經驗，帶領教師共同探討 EMI 課程設計，思考如何在課堂上平衡語言與內容學習，並打造能激發學生學習動機的教學設計，並透過互動式討論，共同交流經驗與探討專業成長的新可能，歡迎對英語授課與國際教學的老師們參加。

EMI is not merely about teaching in English. It also provides opportunities to enhance teaching innovation and promote higher education internationalization. In this workshop, Dr. Ikuya Aizawa from the Oxford EMI consulting team will share his experience in EMI implementation and guide College of Communication faculty members to explore strategies for EMI course design. The discussion will focus on balancing language and content learning, motivating students, and creating effective instructional activities. With interactive discussion, this workshop offers a space for sharing experiences and supporting professional growth. Faculty who are interested in English-medium instruction and international teaching are welcome to join.

【講者介紹 / Speaker introduction】

Dr. Ikuya Aizawa 擁有英國牛津大學教育系應用語言學博士學位，目前任教於英國諾丁漢大學。他的研究主要關注英語在高等教育中的角色、EMI 相關政策，以及EMI 教學在學生學科與語言學習成效上的影響。

Dr. Ikuya Aizawa is a member of the consultancy team at Oxford EMI. He holds a PhD in Education (Applied Linguistics) from the Department of Education, University of Oxford and is a lecturer and supervisor for bachelors and masters students at the University of Nottingham. His research focuses on the role of English in higher education, policy concerning EMI, and the effectiveness of EMI in relation to students’ content and language outcomes.
