【Description】
Due to its immersive features and realistic representation, highlighting the media effect itself, VR offers distinct advantages over traditional media in promoting tourism destinations. Drawing upon construal level theory and immersion as theoretical frameworks, this research talk will discuss the impact of VR, which has the potential to reduce psychological distances, on destination image. It will further examine the interplay between psychological distance-both temporal and spatial-and immersion in the context of virtual tourism. Additionally, the talk will focus on measuring the influence of this interaction on outcomes of promotional message.
