With a growing competition between Washington and Beijing in many different fields, and their ongoing relation marked by economic decoupling, Latin American countries are faced with multiple opportunities and challenges. In this talk, Prof. Fonseca (馮慕文) will touch upon some of the factors impacting on different parts of Latin America and the Caribbean, derived from the position they occupy in global markets and their geographical and ideological distance from those two superpowers.
