  1. Attendance, participation, & various in-class practices: 10%

  2. Leading discussions: 30% (twice)

  3. Course design project: 40% (individual work)



-Design approximately one-semester course with needs analysis and research for justification. 30%



-Promote your course with a short video. 10%



4  Textbook adaptation and micro-teaching: 20% (pair work) (ppt. & handouts)



-Analyze and evaluate a lesson with a focus you choose from any textbooks or materials.



-Conduct micro-teaching with brief presentation of your analysis and justification.

No late work will be accepted unless an emergency indicates otherwise. Notification in advance (one day earlier) is expected. All papers should be single spaced and written in APA style. No data obtained from your previous classes, work, or projects can be used. Please do not use this class’s assignment for other courses and vice versa. 3. Plagiarism: Plagiarism will not be tolerated in this class. If you plagiarize others’ texts and/or ideas, you will not pass the course. 4.
